BILLING & PAYMENTS
At Timbafix, we like to make things as simple and convenient as we can for our customers. Therefore we have fully automated our payment process and simply take card payment for any work we complete.
You will receive a quotation for the work you require and on the day of completion we will take a card payment from you, if in person you will be issued with a printed receipt from our card machine and if payment is made over the phone you will be emailed a digital receipt.
If a cash payment is made then we will also email you a digital receipt for the work completed.
PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYMENT BY CHEQUE OR BANK TRANSFER.

PAYMENT IN PERSON WITH A DEBIT/CREDIT CARD
We carry a card payment machine with us, on the day of completion of any work we will collect a card payment from you for the accepted price we submitted and agreed with you before commencing the work. Any extra work you may have asked us to do will be collected accordingly on the day of completion.
If your job is under £100 then you can use the contactless function, if, above the threshold amount you will be required to insert your card and enter your PIN, you will then be issued with a printed receipt, keep your receipt as this acts as our workmanship guarantee covering you for 12 months from the date on your receipt.
PAYMENT OVER THE PHONE BY DEBIT/CREDIT CARD
If you are not available on the day of completion then we can also take payments over the phone, you are fully protected from making payments in this way. Card details are entered straight into the machine and we do not keep a record of your card details and neither does the card machine.
We can also take job deposit payments over the phone. You may be a landlord or business not local to us but have instructed us to complete work within the Southampton area. Therefore we will take your payment over the phone with a debit or credit card and email you a receipt for your payment.
EMAIL PAYMENT LINK BY DEBIT/CREDIT CARD
If its not possible to make a payment over the phone and you are not available on the day of completion, then we send you a payment link by email. You simply enter your card details into a online payment gateway, As you would purchasing anything else online. We use Stripe for all of our online payments. We do not see or have access to your card details. Your payment is processed and you will automatically receive a receipt for your payment by email. We only send an email payment link if you are unavailable on the day of completion.
PAYMENT TERMS
Payments of less than £500 – If you have been quoted for a job and agreed to proceed, we will complete your job and collect the payment via a debit or credit card payment on the day of completion.
Payments of more than £500 – If you’ve received and accepted a quotation for a job over the value of £500 we will collect a 50% deposit on the day of arrival and the remaining balance on the day of completion with both payments collected via debit or credit card.
